THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As our local People & Organisation Lead (all genders), you will be responsible for the P&O processes for the local Zalando employees. Besides that you are also supporting the Zalando Logistics Site Lead with the HR related contract management of our Logistics Service Provider (Ceva Logistics).
In this generalist role you act independently and pro-active on local P&O topics within your scope and you collaborate and align with other Zalando P&O Teams and local business stakeholders like site management and 3PL. Your hands-on approach makes you flexible in managing topics ranging from operational to strategic level.
This role will be a part time role between 24 - 32 hours a week.
WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
You are responsible for the full employment lifecycle and you ensure a smooth customer experience for both employees and stakeholders.
You will be partnering with the onsite 3PL in order to optimize their performance according to the Zalando P&O Expectations framework.
You will work on a variety of P&O topics, projects and initiatives as a contributor or owner. For example: together with the central Payroll you manage the monthly payroll for the local team; you manage hires and terminations in the team; you coordinate the annual performance cycle on site; you align with Total Rewards on market trends in the Netherlands; you discuss P&O data and performance with stakeholders; you participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews of the site.
You will be joining a small -but great- on site team as well as a professional international P&O team, supported by many central stakeholders.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have experience in managing the full range of P&O processes and documentation within the Netherlands;
You have a strong understanding of Dutch Employment and Labour Law as well as Dutch Industrial Relations framework and you have practised this in an International working environment;
You have a pragmatic and hands-on approach and you are willing to act on both the operational as well as strategic level;
You are solution-oriented, you love organisational challenges and convince with an independent and careful way of working;
You are fluent in Dutch and English;
You analyse data insights to recommend strategies and anticipate future P&O developments;
You have the ability to liaise and partner with different teams and stakeholders within the organisation and on the site (3PL) and you are capable of having challenging conversations;
Ideally you have working experience in Logistics/Warehouse environments and the outsourced 3PL concept.

ABOUT ZALANDO LOGISTICS OPERATIONS NETHERLANDS
Our warehouse houses one of the largest ecom operations in the Benelux. We started being operational at the end of 2021 and are still expanding the operations. The highly automated process operates using cutting-edge solutions such as (kilo)meters of conveyors, a bag sorter with hundreds of thousands bags, and an automatic pick-shuttle.
By the time we are fully operational we will operate an area of 143.000m2 and will ship almost 5 million items per week! We will process and ship thousands of orders every day - to customers in Europe.
We have outsourced the operation to a Logistics Service provider. With the onsite Zalando team we manage the relationship with the service providers in order to obtain the best possible performance results for Zalando customers.
